Slip, Trip, and Fall Prevention

Course Description

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to identify, assess, and prevent slip, trip, and fall hazards in the workplace. It focuses on hazard recognition, workplace inspections, proper housekeeping, footwear, and behavioral practices to reduce the risk of fall-related injuries and maintain a safe working environment.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify common causes of slips, trips, and falls in various work environments.
  • Assess workplace conditions and practices that contribute to fall hazards.
  • Implement preventive measures including housekeeping, floor maintenance, and proper footwear.
  • Apply safe walking and work practices to reduce risk.
  • Promote a safety culture that emphasizes fall prevention.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and report hazards.

Prerequisite

  • None required.
  • Recommended: basic workplace safety awareness.

Certification

Participants who complete the course and assessment receive an Apexis Slip, Trip, and Fall Prevention Certificate.
Recommended Recertification: Every 2–3 years or following changes to workplace layout, procedures, or regulations.
