Fire Instructor Development Training

Course Description

This course provides participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills to become effective fire service instructors. It integrates NFPA 1041 standards with adult learning principles, lesson planning, practical teaching techniques, and student evaluation. The training focuses on developing confident instructors capable of delivering safe, professional, and engaging fire service education.

Prerequisite

  • Recommended: Operational experience in fire service or emergency response roles.
  • Completion of NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor I is preferred but not mandatory.

Certification

Participants who complete the course and evaluation receive an Apexis Fire Instructor Development Certificate.
Recommended Recertification: As required by organizational policy or when NFPA standards or instructional procedures are updated.
