LNG Emergency Response

Front-line emergency fire supervisors and responders can train at ALERT Emergency Training Facility that teaches the unique properties of Liquefied Natural Gas and how to handle spill control and fire suppression.

The LNG training facility allows for classroom training and hands-on practice using proven techniques for extinguishing an LNG fire. Anyone involved in the production, storage or transportation of liquefied natural gas, or those who might be called to respond to an LNG incident, will benefit from learning LNG characteristics.

Topics include:

  • Behavior of confined and unconfined LNG spills on land
  • Water Vapor cloud behavior and use of high-expansion foam
